Hi, I’m Jess.
A former lawyer turned high performance business and leadership coach who helps leaders to realise their potential and lead with confidence, authenticity, and impact.
Born In South Africa, raised in Manchester and currently living in Devon, I am a Northern girl with a broad Northern accent and obsession for a good brew!
Growing up I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with my grandma. She was an incredible woman and a huge inspiration to me. Forever giving her time to people who needed her support and fighting for causes she believed in, she was ultimately awarded an MBE by the Queen for her contribution to the community.
Not only that but when she passed away, she had positively touched so many lives that there weren’t enough seats in the Church for everyone who wanted to pay their respects. People waited outside for their turn to come in. She was just a woman from a working class family, a mum and a grandma, who was genuine, down to earth and willing to stand up for what she believed in.
Leading with integrity.
My grandma taught me what it meant to lead the human way, to influence and engage people with honesty, integrity, and kindness. She also taught me that it is absolutely possible for all of us to make a positive and lasting impact on the world around us, just as she did, and this was a driving factor in me founding Impact Coaching International.
I had become a lawyer as I saw it as my way to help people and make a difference in the world. To an extent it was, and for a time I loved my career as a lawyer, but my grandma showed me there was more I could do.
During my time as a lawyer, I saw leadership done really well and leadership done really poorly. I saw and felt the impacts of both and this began to fuel a passion for understanding human behaviour and the complexities of leadership. I didn’t realise it then, but this was the beginning of what evolved to be my business.
In 2017, having burned out due to the intense pressure and deadlines that came with a career in law, together with a lack of support in dealing with them, I was left with heart problems at the age of 33. This unsurprisingly led me to re-evaluate my life choices and I decided to retrain as an International Coaching Federation Accredited Coach.
I subsequently went on to found Impact Coaching International where the mission was, and still is, to make exceptional human centered leadership the industry standard so other people don’t have to experience the things I did.
The driving force behind this mission is a bigger vision for business to be used as a force for good in the world and I see putting people first as the way to achieve this.

Outside of work, I am a coffee obsessed mum of two gorgeous little humans living my best life by the sea. After experiencing burnout, my mental and physical health became a priority so if I am not working, you will find me either in the gym or at the beach.
